Hi everyone! In case you don't know me, I'm John Del Rio, your new Community Manager here in Belterra!
After a decade of managing communities in downtown Austin, I look forward to growing with your community and working with the experienced Belterra team. It will be refreshing to see my environment evolve from the urban greys to such lush greens- I can breathe!
My time outside the office is mostly spent exploring new trails and parks with our fur babies, Xena and Gabriel. If you have any sushi recommendations, do let me know cause Sarah and I enjoy trying new places.

Hi everyone! In case you don't know me, I'm Byron Harris, your Lifestyle Director here in Belterra! Or better known as the "fun guy"! I'm responsible for putting on all of the events and activities that take place in the Community, as well as your go-to for amenity reservations! I will have served this wonderful Community for three years in September; time flies when you're having fun!
I am originally from the St. Louis area (GO CARDS!) and graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2016 with a degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism (M-I-Z!). I have an extensive background in the Events/Parks and Recreation field, which happens to also be one of my favorite shows of all time; go figure!
When I'm not in the office or at an event, I'm spending time with my family: my wife, Jada, and our 2-year-old daughter, Madison (She keeps us very busy and entertained), binge-watching new shows, exploring different food trucks/restaurants around Austin, or looking for new vinyl for my record player (Send recommendations my way, we love all food/music!)

Hi everyone! In case you don’t know me, I’m Darla Merket – the Administrative and Community Standards Coordinator here at Belterra. I am the 6th of seven girls (yes, seven of us!) and am a true-blue, born-and-raised Texan. Midland was my home for 34 years and where I raised a blended family of five children. For 22 years, I was a Registered Respiratory Therapist and spent TONS of time with the kids, our show steers, and stock shows. If you stop by the management office, you will see lots of “cow” decorations as a nod to one of my favorite animals on earth. After divorcing, I wandered my way down to the Austin area to put my rusty administrative skills to work, and I have been here for five years, basking in all the amazing things that make up Central Texas. My favorite place to be is in the Rocky Mountains; my favorite food is a big, juicy cheeseburger; my favorite dessert is blueberry (or maybe peach) cobbler a-la-mode, and my favorite color is Texas’s big, beautiful blue sky. When I’m not hard at work for the great people of Belterra, I like to garden, rock hunt, read, and travel with my Chug (Chihuahua/Pug) Mindie to visit my grandbabies.
